Guara ,
I'm sure that I would prefer Itaparica than Ouguala and Hassi Messaoud !!
Guara ,don't you live on Itaparica?
Guara :
"Salam alaikum"
Is Itaparica a safe and an enjoyable island to live?
Atlante:
"je t'apporte les huitres, les moules, les bigorneaux, les palourdes, lse praires et les coques ... pas de souci, j'en pêche quasiment tous les WE ces temps-ci ... bon les huitres ça devient un peu limite elles commencent à être laiteuses ... par contre les crevettes roses arrivent avec le réchauffement de l'eau ..."
Can I bring the "Gros Plant"?
I didn't realize that we had so many English teachers in this forum!.
I speak "Le petit nègre".
Thank you Atlante , for recommending India, are you trying to avoid buying me a caipirinha, in Forteleza ?
Dark Fox "merci de pas inventé des trucs délirants"
What have I invented?
Sorry, I'm allergic to banks and the Swiss!
Ate logo,
I can see that Atlante is Anglophobia >I don't care .
A forum is a

I think Abc -Latina doesn't exgige that we ALL communicate in French.
I feel sorry for Boromir , we are not against him , we are all seeking the truth , is Itamaraca dangerous ?
The truth is probably no!
In areas that are traditionally safe and quite, a murder makes more noise .
I was looking at the statistics, some one provided :
Ilha Itaparica , murder rate rose after 2005 !.Why ?
Is it a bad year or a new trend .?
That's the question one must ask ?Situations can change quickly?
In Ilha de Itamaraca , next to Recife, where many houses are being sold at the moment
the Murder rate per 100,000 was 59 , 99 133, 41 40
Much higher than Itaparica
A town I like Paraty,
the rate is 74.9, 38.4, 52.3 ,67.4 and 58
Boromir :
Svp, can we all have images of the house you want to sell, plus , price and why are you selling?
Atlante , I went to Forteleza 30 years, you was probably still doing pipi in your couches.
I loved it , I 'm too scared to return . I hear that it's become a mini Miami Beach,
Horivel!
Atlante mon pot!
When I enrolled in ABC Latina , there is an option :
francais ou English .
The importance of the forum , is to share ideas and knowledge .
I want to buy a house in Brazil where I can retire and feel safe .
I don't want to be attacked , kidnapped and I want to be able to leave my house for a couple months without finding it being broken into.
I though that Itaparica could fit the bill.
Cheap, lots of local products , but near enough to a large city, where my wife and I could visit a few Art Galleries , see a film etc .Plus , I have some friends in Salvador. But when one friend says "Don't move to Itaparica ", I have to take notice.I don't want to live in fear .I don't want to give Itaparica a bad reputation, I wanted to share information from my Brazilian Friend.
I lived in Montreal , Canada for a few months , the Murder rate is about 20 a year. I think the rate 1.2 in 100,000 , so if you COMPARE tHAT with Itaparica , the Brazilian island doesn't do that well.
Where in Brazil can I live cheaply , and be near some good restaurants, art galleries and be able to walk the streets safely?
I WANTED to buy a house in Itaparica and my friend who lives in Salvador , wrote:
the Island only has a few thousand inhabitants, but since there is no governing power in the island (there is, but they lack the ability to control and force the law), many of bahia's worst criminals have fled to that island.
Google it and you'll see. they have murders on a daily basis. a few months ago they took hostage a French couple that was sailing around the world and beat them almost to death., just to mention one case. I'm serious, keep out of that island.
